The Ersatz Museum Heritage Society was formed in 1999 by three amateur historians living in North Norfolk with the aim to research and keep alive the heritage of the two Ersatz Museums
- the original of these being established in Poland between 1929 to 1939
and
- its direct successor that ran from 1959 to 1973 on the Norfolk coast.
This web site has been created to both inform and gain information about these two remarkable and completely individualistic institutions.

Please click on the content pages left for brief history of the two museums or click on -
